These new units comply with the updated U.S. federal budget law signed on July 4, 2025, which retroactively mandates that solar and battery products contain at least 45% U.S.-sourced materials starting June 16, 2025. Enphase’s IQ Battery 5P not only meets the current threshold but is also designed to comply with the increasing requirements—rising to 50% in 2026 and 55% in 2027, where it will remain fixed.

The IQ Battery 5P offers a modular 5 kWh capacity and can be paired with Enphase IQ8™ Microinverters to provide homeowners with reliable, on-demand power. Through the Enphase® App, users can monitor system performance and intelligently manage energy usage, including leveraging self-consumption features to reduce grid reliance.

The new batteries, identified by their “DOM” SKU (IQBATTERY-5P-1P-NA-DOM), are built using a substantial share of U.S.-sourced materials—supporting American manufacturing, domestic job creation, and a more resilient, localized clean energy supply chain.

Our customers consistently want Enphase for the seamless integration between their solar and storage systems,” said Joel McClure CEO of NexGen Solar, an installer of Enphase products in California. “The IQ Battery 5P’s modular design allows us to right-size each installation, and the increased domestic content helps customers comply with evolving federal requirements.”
