Jinko ESS, global leading energy storage company and subsidiary of Jinko Solar Co., Ltd., has announced an agreement for a 140MWh grid-scale energy storage project with a leading UK-based energy developer AGR Renewables. The project will feature 28 units of Jinko ESSโ€™s G2 5MWh liquid-cooled containerized systems, with first deliveries scheduled for November 2025 and commissioning set for Q1 2026.

Engineered specifically to endure the UKโ€™s challenging environmental conditions, including -10 หšC temperatures in high-latitude areas and persistently damp weather, the G2 system combines rugged engineering with intelligent performance. The system features advanced liquid-cooling technology that ensures cell temperature differentials within ยฑ2.5ยฐC, while maintaining over 94% round-trip efficiency even in extreme cold.

The G2 system also meets high standards of environmental protection and operational safety, with an IP55 rating safeguarding against rain and snow, and a multi-level safety protection design compliant with both international and local standards. Furthermore, its integrated AI Smart Cloud Management Platform optimises charge and discharge strategies to maximise energy utilization. โ€œThis project collaboration marks a high level of recognition of Jinko ESSโ€™s technology in the UK market,โ€ said Roberto Murgioni, General Manager of Jinko ESS Europe. โ€œThe G2 system is uniquely suited to UK conditions and will play a significant role in supporting the nationโ€™s clean energy transition.โ€
