BloombergNEF, a global authority in renewable energy, has released its latest report evaluating the resilience and innovation of seven leading PV module manufacturers in a changing market. Trinasolar was recognized for its strong global strategy, technological innovation, bankability, and outstanding sustainability performance. The report noted that, as of May 2025, Trinasolar achieved the highest ESG score among its peers, reaffirming its leadership in sustainable development.
The report highlighted the role of renewable electricity in production. In 2024, Trinasolar implemented 47 energy-saving projects across 32 manufacturing sites. Its facilities generated 223,794 MWh of on-site renewable electricity, serving as a key clean energy source for production. The company also optimized energy consumption, reducing comprehensive energy use per unit of cell and module products by 39.51% and 40.19%, respectively, compared with 2020.
Trinasolarโs environmental management has earned global recognition. Its production plants have been designated National Green Factories with โZero-Carbon Factory (Type I)โ certification, upgraded to four stars in 2023. Product certifications include Carbon Footprint and EPD certifications from UL Solutions for all Vertex N modules, EPD and ISO 14067 certifications for Elementa 2, and Bureau Veritas Carbon Footprint Verification for TrinaTracker Vanguard 1P.
As solar power rapidly replaces fossil fuels, transparency and accountability in sustainability are increasingly important to investors, customers, and regulators. Trinasolarโs ESG achievements in the first half of 2025 include Bloomberg Greenโs โWorkplace for All,โ BSIโs Standard Pioneer Award, and Silver Certification of the Solar Stewardship Initiative ESG Standard for two major production facilities. These honors reflect the companyโs continued progress in ESG management, disclosure, and sustainable manufacturing.
