Bondada Group Plans INR 3,000 Crore Renewable Energy Investment in Goa, Targeting 700+ Jobs

Bondada Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Goa Investment Promotion and Facilitation Board to develop renewable energy projects in Goa, involving a proposed investment of approximately ₹3,000 crore. The initiative will focus on solar energy and biogas, supporting the state’s efforts to expand clean energy infrastructure and promote sustainable development.

The proposed investment is expected to strengthen Goa’s renewable energy capacity and support the wider adoption of cleaner sources of power and fuel. The projects are also expected to generate more than 700 employment opportunities, creating jobs during the development and implementation stages and potentially supporting operations once the facilities become active.

Under the agreement, the Goa Investment Promotion and Facilitation Board will provide assistance to Bondada Group in obtaining the necessary approvals for the proposed projects. The state agency will help the company secure statutory permissions, registrations, approvals and clearances required to establish the projects and begin commercial operations.

The Board will also facilitate access to fiscal and non-fiscal incentives for which the projects may be eligible under applicable government policies and regulations. This support is intended to streamline the investment process and encourage renewable energy development in the state.

The proposed projects align with India’s broader objectives of accelerating the clean energy transition, encouraging sustainable infrastructure and strengthening long-term energy security. By focusing on both solar power and biogas, the initiative could also contribute to a wider mix of renewable energy solutions in Goa.

However, the MoU is non-binding and does not represent a final investment commitment. The projects will remain subject to further evaluation, statutory clearances and the completion of other required operational formalities before implementation.

The development marks a proposed expansion of Bondada Group’s renewable energy activities and reflects its interest in contributing to clean energy infrastructure across India.
