The Africa Solar Industry Association (AFSIA) and the Renewable Energy Industries Association of Malawi (REIAMA) have renewed their Strategic Membership Agreement, reinforcing their commitment to advancing solar energy development across Africa. The renewed partnership was formalized during the EPD Rwanda annual conference held in Kigali.
The agreement sets the stage for increased collaboration and joint initiatives aimed at expanding solar energy access and fostering sustainable development. One of the key upcoming projects under this partnership is a financial readiness program designed for developers in Malawi, which is currently in the planning phase.
The program aligns with REIAMAโs mission โto accelerate access to affordable, reliable and sustainable energy in Malawi through research, advocacy, collaboration and capacity building,โ aiming to strengthen local expertise and attract investment in the renewable energy sector.
AFSIA, a leading non-governmental solar trade organization, works to expand the solar footprint across the African continent by connecting stakeholders from both the public and private sectors. Its efforts focus on bolstering the local solar industry and creating business opportunities that support economic growth and energy security.
The renewed partnership between AFSIA and REIAMA is expected to play a significant role in advancing renewable energy solutions in Malawi and the broader African region.
