Peak Energy, Asiaโ€™s leading clean renewable energy developer and Independent Power Producer (IPP), is strengthening its presence in the Philippines with a new 65 megawatt-peak (MWp) greenfield solar project. The development is located in Isabela province, in the Cagayan Valley region of northeastern Luzon. Once operational, the project is expected to generate more than 68,000 megawatt-hours (68 gigawatt-hours) of clean electricity each year. This is enough to supply power to around 23,000 Filipino homes while preventing approximately 37,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annuallyโ€”equivalent to removing about 8,000 cars from the road.

The solar facility is planned to begin commercial operations in the first half of 2027. Peak Energy plans to work directly with key corporate customers who are seeking stable, long-term clean power agreements. By doing so, the company aims to accelerate the Philippinesโ€™ shift toward renewable energy and support businesses in reducing their carbon footprints at scale. The Philippines has emerged as one of Southeast Asiaโ€™s most promising markets for renewable energy. Recent government measures, including improved incentives and clearer regulations, have created a favorable environment for private-sector investment and the rollout of clean energy projects.

This new solar development further strengthens Peak Energyโ€™s role in supporting the countryโ€™s clean energy transition. It demonstrates the companyโ€™s ability to deliver high-quality projects that help businesses secure reliable and affordable renewable energy. The project also reflects Peak Energyโ€™s commitment to being a long-term partner in a market where large-scale, high-voltage solar opportunities of this caliber are becoming increasingly scarce.

Gavin Adda, CEO of Peak Energy, highlighted the companyโ€™s approach to growth in the region. He explained that Peak Energy focuses on identifying high-quality sites, securing critical project elements early, and ensuring developments meet customer expectations. Adda noted that the Philippines offers an uncommon combination of strong solar potential and a regulatory environment that actively supports renewable energy deployment. These conditions give Peak Energy confidence that it can deliver effective solutions for businesses looking to decarbonize, while positioning the company to meet the growing demand for reliable clean energy.

Across the Asia-Pacific region, Peak Energy now operates about 300 megawatts of renewable assets and has a development pipeline of 1 gigawatt. In the Philippines, in addition to utility-scale solar projects, the company also manages a growing portfolio of rooftop solar systems for commercial and industrial clients. By offering flexible and high-quality clean power solutions tailored to businesses of different sizes and sustainability goals, Peak Energy has positioned itself as a trusted partner for corporations aiming to transition to reliable, affordable renewable energy. The companyโ€™s combination of engineering expertise, operational excellence, and adaptability ensures it can support businesses at every stage of their decarbonization journeyโ€”from early steps to advanced sustainability strategies.
