NISE Extends Deadline And Updates Submission Process For Green Hydrogen Mission Proposals

The National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) has issued an important update regarding its second Call for Proposal (CP) under the National Green Hydrogen Mission. The proposal, which aims to support the “Funding of testing facilities, infrastructure, and institutional support for development of Standards and Regulatory framework,” was initially announced on August 11, 2025. The recent notice, dated September 24, 2025, informs stakeholders that the deadline for submitting proposals has been extended.

Originally, the last date for submission was September 25, 2025. This has now been extended to October 10, 2025, giving applicants additional time to prepare and submit their proposals. Along with the extension of the deadline, NISE has also revised the submission process. Earlier, proposals were required to be submitted in hard copy at the NISE office in Gurugram. The updated procedure now requires applicants to first submit a scanned version of their proposal via email to Hydrogen@nise.res.in  by the new deadline of October 10, 2025. Following the email submission, the hard copy of the proposal must be submitted to the NISE office within one week.

The notice emphasizes that all other terms and conditions of the original Call for Proposal remain unchanged. This update has been issued with the approval of the Competent Authority and is signed by Kishore K Menon, Deputy Director of NISE. The decision to extend the deadline and simplify the submission process is likely to make it easier for participants to meet the requirements and increase the number of proposals received under the National Green Hydrogen Mission.

Applicants planning to submit proposals are encouraged to follow the new procedure carefully and ensure their submissions are complete and timely. For any queries or clarifications, interested parties can contact NISE at hydrogen@nise.res.in.

The update is significant as it provides a more convenient way to submit proposals and ensures that a wider range of organizations can participate in the program, ultimately supporting the development of standards, regulatory frameworks, and infrastructure for green hydrogen in India.

This extension and revised submission process are expected to attract more participants and facilitate better planning and preparation for proposals under the National Green Hydrogen Mission.
