Premier Energies Secures $19.95 Million Solar Contracts in Benin

Premier Energies Limited has won contracts worth USD 19.95 million to supply and install solar power systems in the Republic of Benin, West Africa, as part of a government-led initiative to expand access to sustainable clean energy.

The projects include the installation of 750 rooftop solar systems at community facilities such as district police stations, schools, health centres, and border surveillance units. In addition, more than 4,400 high-efficiency solar streetlights and 650 solar water heaters will be deployed across the country.

Implementation will be carried out in partnership with the General Directorate of Energy Planning and Rural Electrification under Beninโ€™s Ministry of Energy, Water and Mines. Financing support is being provided through a line of credit from the Export-Import Bank of India (EXIM Bank) and the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID).

โ€œThese projects are expected to enhance community safety, healthcare services, educational infrastructure, and overall energy sustainability in the Republic of Benin,โ€ said Chiranjeev Saluja, Managing Director & CEO of Premier Energies. โ€œThe contract award represents a strong endorsement of our operational capability and global competitiveness.โ€
