Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited (GIPCL) has successfully commissioned an additional 105 MW of solar capacity at its project site in Khavda, Great Rann of Kutch, increasing its total operational capacity to 315 MW. This marks a significant achievement as the company has now commissioned more than half of its planned 600 MW Solar Power Project.

The Khavda installation forms part of the larger 2,375 MW Renewable Energy Park, one of India’s most ambitious clean energy developments aimed at accelerating the nation’s renewable energy transition.

The newly added capacity represents the third phase of the project’s phased implementation strategy, aligning with GIPCL’s long-term vision to scale its renewable footprint and contribute to India’s national clean energy targets.

Once fully completed, the 600 MW project is expected to play a vital role in bolstering India’s solar energy generation capacity and reducing carbon emissions.
