Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL) has announced the acquisition of three new solar EPC contracts with a combined value of approximately ₹1,772 crore. The orders include two large-scale domestic solar projects and one international project in South Africa, reinforcing the company’s leadership in India’s renewable energy sector and expanding its global footprint.
SWREL has been declared the lowest bidder (L1) for two new engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts — a 363 MWp DC project in Rajasthan and a 580 MWp DC project in Uttar Pradesh. Both projects are based on a Balance of System (BOS) model. Internationally, the company received a Letter of Intent (LOI) for a 115 MWp solar project in South Africa, valued at roughly USD 120 million.
With these wins, SWREL’s total EPC order inflows for the current fiscal year have surpassed ₹3,775 crore. Global CEO Mr. Chandra Kishore Thakur stated that the new orders strengthen the company’s position in India’s rapidly expanding renewable energy market while deepening its presence in South Africa, where two other projects are already underway.
The newly secured projects are scheduled for completion by Q1 FY2027. SWREL said it remains confident about sustaining order momentum and maintaining healthy booking margins as it continues to deliver on its global clean energy portfolio.
