Poddar Pigments Limited has signed an agreement with IB Vogt Solar India Private Limited to establish a 3.51 MWp solar power plant in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, as part of its shift toward renewable energy and reduced grid dependency.
The agreement, signed on November 4, 2025, outlines that the solar project will be developed for captive consumption at Village Sangarh in Tehsil Fatehgarh. The installation will be undertaken by IB Vogt Solar India Pvt Ltd, headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana.
According to the companyโs disclosure filed under SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, the initiative reflects Poddar Pigmentsโ long-term sustainability vision and efforts to reduce its carbon footprint. The plant is expected to help the company achieve greater energy independence and optimize power costs over time.
Further details regarding timelines, financing, and operational performance will be shared upon the successful commissioning of the project, the company said.
Industry observers note that this move positions Poddar Pigments among manufacturing companies increasingly adopting renewable energy to strengthen operational efficiency and environmental responsibility.
