The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has awarded FS India Solar Ventures Pvt. Ltd. the contract for the manufacturing, testing, packing, forwarding, supply, and transportation of 260 MWp domestically manufactured solar PV modules, using domestically produced solar cells.

The project, floated under Tender No: SECI/C&P/OP/11/018/2024-25, carries an award value of ₹474.10 crore.

This tender forms part of SECI’s continued commitment to promoting ‘Make in India’ initiatives and boosting domestic solar manufacturing capacity. The supply will directly contribute to India’s solar deployment targets while strengthening the country’s self-reliance in renewable energy equipment production.

The contract mandates strict compliance with testing and quality parameters to ensure performance efficiency and durability, aligning with SECI’s push for higher domestic value addition within the solar value chain.

Industry observers note that the award to FS India Solar Ventures reflects the growing confidence in India’s manufacturing ecosystem and SECI’s ongoing efforts to accelerate clean energy deployment through domestic sourcing.
