Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has expanded its renewable energy portfolio with the incorporation of two new step-down subsidiaries aimed at strengthening its clean energy generation and distribution capabilities.

In an official filing, the company announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Adani Saur Urja (KA) Ltd (ASUKAL), has set up two additional wholly owned entitiesโ€”Adani Hydro Energy Thirteen Limited (AHE13L) and Adani Hydro Energy Sixteen Limited (AHE16L). Both newly formed companies are based in Gujarat, further cementing the stateโ€™s position as a hub for the Adani Groupโ€™s renewable energy initiatives.

According to the filing, the primary purpose of AHE13L and AHE16L is to engage in the generation, development, transformation, transmission, distribution, and sale of electricity produced from renewable sources. These include solar power, wind energy, and other clean energy technologies.

The incorporation of the two entities aligns with AGELโ€™s broader strategy to expand its footprint across Indiaโ€™s renewable energy landscape. As one of the countryโ€™s largest renewable power producers, AGEL continues to scale up its infrastructure to meet Indiaโ€™s growing clean energy demand and support national commitments toward sustainability and carbon reduction.
