The Shree Saibaba Sansthan Trust, Shirdi, has released a detailed e-tender notice inviting bids from reputed contractors for a major new solar power project. The tender is for the complete procurement and development of a 1,700 KWp (DC) grid-connected rooftop solar PV power plant. It is a turnkey project covering the entire process, including designing, engineering, supply, erection, construction, testing, and commissioning of the solar plant on identified rooftops. Additionally, the project includes a compulsory Operation & Maintenance (O&M) contract for five years after commissioning.
The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 6.80 crore, inclusive of GST. Bidders are required to demonstrate their seriousness by submitting an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of โน10 lakh, which must be paid online. The project is expected to be completed within a relatively tight timeline of 120 days from the date of the purchase order.
To be eligible, contractors must meet stringent technical criteria. They should have successfully completed a similar grid-connected solar PV project of at least 1 MW AC within the last five years, with the reference plant operational for at least six months. Financial criteria require bidders to have a minimum average annual turnover of over โน8 crore in the preceding three financial years, along with proof of profit and a positive net worth during the same period.
The tender process began on December 1, 2025. A site visit for interested bidders is scheduled for December 9, 2025, followed by a pre-bid meeting on December 10, 2025. The deadline for bid submission is December 22, 2025, at 5:00 PM. Technical bids are planned to be opened on December 24, 2025, while commercial bids are expected to be opened on December 29, 2025. The entire e-tendering process will be conducted through the official portal.
This project reflects the Shree Saibaba Sansthan Trustโs continued focus on sustainable energy initiatives, promoting renewable power adoption in Shirdi. The new rooftop solar installation is expected to provide clean energy, reduce dependence on conventional power sources, and contribute to the Trustโs long-term energy efficiency goals. With strict eligibility criteria and a clear schedule, the tender aims to attract experienced contractors capable of delivering a high-quality, reliable solar power solution. The inclusion of a five-year O&M contract ensures that the plant will remain operational and efficient for the long term.
