NTPC Green Energy Declares 243.66 MW Of Khavda-I Solar Project Commercially Operational In Gujarat

NTPC Green Energy Limited has informed the stock exchanges about the commercial operation of an additional solar power capacity at its Khavda-I Solar PV Project in Gujarat, in line with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The company announced that the seventh part capacity of 243.66 MW out of the total 1,255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project has been declared commercially operational with effect from 00:00 hours on December 17, 2025.

The Khavda-I Solar PV Project is being developed under the CPSU Scheme Phase-II Tranche-III and is implemented by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited. The declaration of commercial operation for this part capacity marks another milestone in the phased commissioning of the large-scale solar project located in Gujarat.

With the commissioning of this 243.66 MW capacity, the commercial capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group has increased significantly. As per the latest disclosure, the groupโ€™s current commercial capacity now stands at 7,645.675 MW. This reflects the cumulative capacity of projects that have already achieved commercial operation status across the group.

In addition to the increase in commercial capacity, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group has also risen. Following the addition of the newly commissioned 243.66 MW, the groupโ€™s total installed capacity has reached 7,889.335 MW. This highlights the steady progress being made by the company in expanding its renewable energy portfolio through large utility-scale projects.

The disclosure regarding the commissioning of the seventh part capacity was made on December 16, 2025. It forms part of the companyโ€™s ongoing regulatory compliance and transparent communication with investors and stakeholders. The phased commissioning approach adopted for the Khavda-I Solar PV Project allows for systematic addition of capacity while meeting technical, regulatory, and operational requirements.

The Khavda-I project continues to be a key component of NTPC Green Energy Limitedโ€™s renewable energy expansion strategy.
