Mobi Solar Philippines and Long Neng Power Philippines have formalized a joint venture (JV) agreement to accelerate sustainable energy development in the Philippines. The agreement was signed on 13 December during Mobi Solarโ€™s Client Appreciation Year-End Event held in Mandaluyong City.

Under the partnership, the two companies will invest USD 20 million over the first three years to develop 30 MW of solar capacity, followed by an additional USD 40 million investment in a second three-year phase to scale total capacity to 60 MW. The investments will be facilitated through Long Neng Power Hong Kong and MOBI Renewables Hong Kong.

The joint venture combines Long Neng Powerโ€™s global expertise in photovoltaic power generation, industrial energy storage, and smart energy management with Mobi Solar Philippinesโ€™ local capabilities across power purchase agreements (PPAs), engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), and operations and maintenance (O&M).

Commenting on the partnership, Ronghua Liao, CEO of Mobi Solar Philippines Inc., said the collaboration strengthens the companyโ€™s clean energy strategy, noting that the JV will accelerate the deployment of scalable, zero-CAPEX solar solutions by integrating global technology with local execution.
