NTPC Green Energy Issues Tender For 6 MW Floating Solar Project With 24 MWh Battery Storage In Chhattisgarh

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has announced a new tender for a specialized energy project in Chhattisgarh. The project involves setting up a 6 MW floating solar photovoltaic (PV) plant integrated with a 6 MW / 24 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at the ABVTPS site of the Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited (CSPGCL). This initiative is part of a joint venture between NGEL and CSPGCL, aimed at enhancing renewable energy capacity in the state.

The tender has been issued under domestic competitive bidding. The official release of the tender took place on December 31, 2025, and detailed bidding documents are now available on the official NTPC and NGEL websites. The bid submission end date is 12th January 2026.

The bidding process will follow a single-stage, two-envelope system. The first envelope will contain the techno-commercial bid, which will be evaluated for technical compliance and commercial terms. The second envelope will include the price bid, which will be considered only after the technical evaluation is completed. Following this, a reverse auction will be conducted to finalize the eligible bidder for the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) package.

NGEL has provided clear contact details for interested bidders seeking additional information. Queries can be directed to the Contract Services department at NGEL’s office in Greater Noida. The designated contacts include the Deputy General Manager (CS) and the Assistant General Manager (CS), who can be reached via mobile or email. NGEL’s registered office is located at the SCOPE Complex in New Delhi.
