Shakti Pumps India has secured a major work order worth ₹67.32 crore from Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (MPUVNL) for the supply of 1,952 off-grid DC solar pumping systems, the company announced. The order is scheduled for completion within 120 days, highlighting Shakti Pumps’ manufacturing strength and project execution capabilities.
The project, aimed at providing sustainable irrigation solutions in rural and remote areas, reinforces the company’s position in India’s renewable energy sector. Off-grid DC solar pumps are increasingly in demand as they offer reliable irrigation options where conventional power supply is limited or inconsistent.
Under the agreement, Shakti Pumps India will design, manufacture, and deliver the 1,952 solar pumping systems, demonstrating its ability to manage large-scale orders while maintaining quality standards. The project timeline of 120 days underscores the company’s confidence in its production capacity and supply chain efficiency.
“This order from MPUVNL is a significant milestone for Shakti Pumps India, reflecting the trust of a state government entity and the growing adoption of solar-powered irrigation systems in India,” the company said in a statement.
The development is part of a broader push toward renewable energy adoption in the agricultural sector, supporting India’s sustainability goals while modernizing irrigation infrastructure in rural regions. The deal also strengthens Shakti Pumps India’s footprint in government-led renewable energy initiatives.
