Tata Power has successfully commissioned the 400/220 kV Metro Depot Substation along with the associated transmission lines, a key linear infrastructure project that adds 1,000 MVA of transformation capacity to meet the growing electricity demand in and around Greater Noida and the NCR region. Surplus power from this system will also be fed into the Northern Grid, helping to support electricity requirements across other northern states.

The project was executed under TP Jalpura Khurja Transmission Limited (TPJKPTL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Power, and represents the first milestone of the Jalpura-Khurja TBCB project. Its on-time completion reflects Tata Powerโ€™s expertise in precision-driven execution and commitment to sustainable infrastructure development.

With this addition, Tata Powerโ€™s transmission portfolio now totals 7,047 circuit kilometres of lines, both operational and under execution across India. This expansion further strengthens the companyโ€™s role in enhancing the nationโ€™s electricity transmission network and supporting the growing energy needs of the country.
