GameChange Energy Technologies, a global infrastructure firm delivering module-to-grid energy solutions, has announced the acquisition of the Electrical Balance of Systems (eBOS) division from Terrasmart, a unit of Gibraltar Industries. This strategic move significantly reinforces GameChange Energyโ€™s capabilities in supporting utility-scale solar projects with fully integrated electrical and structural solutions. By bringing eBOS into its existing platform, the company advances its long-term mission to streamline solar infrastructure from modules to full grid interconnection.

The newly acquired eBOS business is known for delivering pre-engineered and pre-fabricated electrical systems designed to manage critical infrastructure between solar modules, inverters, transformers, and downstream grid-connected equipment. With more than 14 GW of deployed solutions and a dedicated U.S. manufacturing facility in Grand Rapids, the eBOS portfolio adds both scale and technical depth to GameChange Energyโ€™s expanding suite of offerings. It will now complement the companyโ€™s existing divisionsโ€”GameChange Solar and GameChange BOSโ€”creating a more seamless and integrated platform for customers seeking end-to-end delivery.

As utility-scale solar projects continue growing in size and complexity, the need for streamlined electrical pathways has become increasingly urgent. โ€œAs projects grow larger and timelines tighten, customers need partners that can support the full electrical path from the module through interconnection, with reliability, manufacturing depth, and field-proven experience,โ€ shared Phillip Vyhanek. He emphasized that acquiring the eBOS product line and its experienced team aligns with the companyโ€™s strategy to offer reliable, scalable solutions for EPCs, developers, and asset owners navigating increasingly demanding grid and project requirements.

Post-acquisition, the eBOS division will continue operating with the same teams, equipment, and manufacturing footprint, ensuring uninterrupted customer service while benefiting from expanded technical resources within the broader GameChange Energy structure. This integration aims to enhance performance across all stages of solar project developmentโ€”from design and engineering through delivery and installation. Speaking on this continuity, Mark Gibbens noted that Terrasmartโ€™s eBOS team has earned a reputation for exceptional quality and disciplined engineering, making it a valuable addition to GameChange Energyโ€™s commitment to operational excellence.

The acquisition has also drawn strong support from long-time industry partners. โ€œDEPCOM is delighted to see GameChange expand into the eBOS design and manufacturing space,โ€ said Natasha Cherenkova of DEPCOM. With gigawatts of combined deployments using GameChange trackers and fixed-tilt systems, she welcomed the move as an important expansion that will offer developers more comprehensive infrastructure solutions and deeper engineering synergy across project components.

This acquisition reflects broader industry shifts as the utility-scale solar sector faces rising project complexity, lengthening interconnection timelines, and intensifying demand for integrated electrical solutions. Developers and EPCs are increasingly seeking partners capable of reducing risk, streamlining procurement, and accelerating speed-to-power. By incorporating eBOS capabilities directly into its platform, GameChange Energy is positioned to meet these market needs with a more coordinated, high-performance approach that enhances reliability across the electrical chain.

Additional details regarding product integration, new capabilities, and expanded offerings are expected to be released in the coming weeks. As the solar industry continues evolving toward more holistic infrastructure solutions, GameChange Energyโ€™s strategic expansion underscores its commitment to supporting the next generation of large-scale renewable energy development with comprehensive, module-to-grid expertise.
