Websol Energy System Limited has announced new business growth with the receipt of three major purchase orders for solar photovoltaic modules. The company disclosed on February 26, 2026, that it has secured orders totaling 85.5 MW, valued at ₹172 crore. Production for these orders has already begun, and deliveries are expected to be completed by May 2026.
The orders have been awarded by Bekem Infra Projects, Sri Avantika Contractors, and Kosol Energie. According to Managing Director Sohan Lal Agarwal, the fresh contracts highlight the increasing trust customers have in the company’s manufacturing strength and product quality. He stated that these repeat and new engagements strengthen the company’s position in the Indian solar market.
The company also clarified that the recently imposed United States tariffs on solar imports will not affect its business operations. Websol currently does not export its products to the US market, ensuring that its ongoing production and revenue plans remain stable and unaffected by international trade developments.
Websol operates from its upgraded seven-acre manufacturing facility located in the Falta Special Economic Zone in West Bengal. The company has an annual solar cell production capacity of 1,200 MW and a module manufacturing capacity of 550 MW. It uses advanced Mono PERC technology to produce high-efficiency solar cells and modules.
By manufacturing both solar cells and modules in-house, the company follows an integrated production model. This approach helps maintain better supply chain control and offers flexibility to respond to changing market conditions. Websol mainly supplies solar cells within India, helping module manufacturers meet the Domestic Content Requirement norms. Its finished solar modules are sold in both domestic and select international markets, supporting India’s clean energy expansion goals.
