NTPC Limited, a Government of India enterprise, has invited bids for a Biennial Maintenance Contract (BMC) for a 5 MW solar plant located at the Faridabad Gas Power Station in Faridabad. The tender focuses on preventive and breakdown maintenance services for solar inverters installed at the plant, aiming to ensure reliable performance and long-term operational efficiency of the solar power facility.

The bidding process will be conducted through domestic competitive bidding, where a single agency will be selected to handle the maintenance work. According to the tender details, the selected contractor will be responsible for maintaining the solar inverter systems and addressing any technical faults that may arise during the contract period. This maintenance support is expected to help maintain stable operations at the solar installation and support power generation reliability at the Faridabad Gas Power Station.

The contract period for the maintenance service has been fixed at twenty-four months from the date of commencement. However, NTPC has kept the option to extend the contract for an additional period of up to three months under the same terms, conditions, and pricing structure. This provision allows flexibility if the company requires continued maintenance support beyond the original contract duration.

The tender will follow a Single Stage Two Envelope bidding system. Under this method, bidders must submit their Techno-Commercial Bid and Price Bid together through the NTPC eProcurement portal. The evaluation of bids will be conducted on a lump sum basis, and companies participating in the tender must quote their prices on a firm price basis.

A key feature of the tender is the inclusion of benefits and purchase preference for Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs). These provisions are intended to encourage participation from smaller businesses in government procurement projects. At the same time, the tender specifies that preference for Class-I local suppliers is not applicable in this case. Additionally, the requirement for an Integrity Pact has been waived for this procurement.

The tender also includes several bidder-friendly provisions. The Earnest Money Deposit (EMD), also referred to as bid security, is not required for this project. Similarly, there is no cost associated with obtaining the bidding documents, making the participation process more accessible for interested companies.

All documents related to the bidding process must be submitted digitally, and no offline document submission is required.

Interested bidders can find complete details, including deadlines for bid submission, bid opening dates, and clarification requests, on the NTPC eProcurement portal. Communication related to the tender will be handled through the Unified Shared Services Center in Nava Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
