AMI Paradigm Solutions Private Limited (AMIPS), backed by AM Group and ParadigmIT Services Technology Private Limited, has entered into a binding agreement to acquire the Smart World & Communication (SWC) business from L&T Technology Services Limited.

The acquisition is expected to strengthen AMIPS’ capabilities in delivering AI-powered solutions for public systems and critical infrastructure. The SWC portfolio, with operations across India and global markets, is anticipated to complement AMIPS’ long-term growth strategy, particularly in scaling intelligence-led solutions driven by artificial intelligence.

AMIPS is positioning itself as part of a fully integrated AI platform encompassing carbon-free energy, data center infrastructure, high-performance computing chips, software stacks, and applications. The platform will also offer flexible consumption models, including Accelerator-as-a-Service and Tokens-as-a-Service.

The global market for AI in sovereign services is currently valued at approximately $25 billion and is projected to grow to nearly $100 billion by the early 2030s, expanding at an estimated annual rate of 20%. This growth is being driven by increasing adoption of AI by governments for automation, enhanced security, and data-driven policymaking.

Aligned with its vision of democratizing AI, AM Group is developing an end-to-end value chain through its AM Intelligence (AMI) Platform, which aims to convert clean energy into intelligent compute tokens. AI-led applications across governance, public safety, defense, and infrastructure are expected to account for 10–20% of AI inference demand in mature markets in the future.

As part of its infrastructure push, AMI is investing $25 billion to develop a 1 GW high-performance computing hub in Uttar Pradesh. The first phase, comprising approximately 250 MW, is currently being established on land allocated by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA).

ParadigmIT, promoted by Sridhar Gadhi, brings over two decades of experience in building national-scale digital public infrastructure and AI-driven governance systems. The company has an established partnership with the SWC business and continues to work with multiple state and central government agencies.

Commenting on the development, Anil Chalamalasetty, Chairman of AM Group, stated that the acquisition would support the deployment of AI across mission-critical sectors, including government services, utilities, transport networks, and urban infrastructure, enabling more data-driven and autonomous operations.

Amit Chadha, CEO and Managing Director of L&T Technology Services, said the move aligns with the company’s strategy to focus on engineering, software, and digital manufacturing across key segments such as mobility, sustainability, and technology, which are expected to drive future growth.

Sridhar Gadhi added that the acquisition marks a step toward building an AI-led enterprise focused on sovereign AI architectures, domain-specific models, and outcome-driven platforms, aimed at transforming digital systems into intelligent operations powered by clean energy.

The transaction is expected to be completed by July 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.
