Subhankar Sen Assumes Additional Charge as Director (HR) at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has announced that Subhankar Sen, Director (Marketing), has taken over the additional charge of Director (Human Resources), strengthening the company’s leadership framework.

A graduate of University of Calcutta, Sen also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Executive Management from S. P. Jain Institute of Management & Research. With over three decades of experience at BPCL, he has contributed across key marketing verticals including Retail, LPG, Lubricants, Aviation, Industrial & Commercial, Gas, and Consumer Retailing.

In his current role as Director (Marketing), Sen has played a pivotal role in enhancing BPCL’s market presence, driving customer-centric initiatives, and advancing its integrated energy transition strategy. In his expanded responsibilities as Director (HR), he will lead the company’s human capital strategy, focusing on talent development, leadership building, and organisational transformation to support long-term growth and sustainability goals.

Separately, Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has appointed Sen as its Chairman with effect from April 1, 2026. He succeeds Raj Kumar Dubey under the rotational nomination framework followed by the company’s promoter entities.
