Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, recently chaired a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of ADNOC at the companyโ€™s headquarters in Abu Dhabi. During the meeting, he reviewed the companyโ€™s business continuity plans, which are designed to ensure smooth operations during emergencies, crises, or unexpected disruptions.

These plans include a detailed and proactive framework that outlines how the company prepares for, responds to, and recovers from various scenarios. The approach follows international standards and best practices used by leading global energy companies to maintain stability during uncertain situations.

A key focus of the discussion was ADNOCโ€™s efforts to protect its workforce and critical assets while continuing operations safely and efficiently. These measures are applied across all group companies to ensure that essential facilities remain secure and functional. This allows ADNOC to continue supplying energy to customers at local, regional, and international levels while maintaining strong supply chain reliability.

In response to recent regional developments, the company has also made temporary adjustments to certain operations, particularly for exportable products. These steps have been taken to manage potential disruptions in maritime navigation and shipping. At the same time, ADNOC is closely monitoring the situation and assessing impacts at multiple levelsโ€”by location, product, and transactionโ€”to ensure it continues to meet customer and stakeholder needs as effectively as possible.

The Executive Committee also reviewed a detailed report on operational impacts at some ADNOC facilities. These impacts were linked to debris and direct effects following the interception of ballistic missiles and drones by the UAEโ€™s air defence systems during Iranian attacks targeting the country. The incident was described as a serious violation of international laws and a threat to regional stability as well as global energy security.

Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan praised the high level of preparedness and quick response demonstrated by national authorities and relevant stakeholders in handling the situation. He highlighted their efforts in ensuring the safety of frontline workers and maintaining uninterrupted operations across ADNOC facilities despite challenging circumstances.

After the meeting, Sheikh Khaled met with ADNOCโ€™s business continuity team and also connected virtually with frontline staff across different company sites. He acknowledged their dedication, resilience, and commitment to maintaining operations under pressure, expressing confidence that the organization will emerge stronger from current challenges.

The meeting was attended by several senior officials, including Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNOC; Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of Health and Prevention; Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Managing Director and Group CEO of Mubadala Investment Company; and Jassem Mohammed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Finance. Overall, the meeting highlighted ADNOCโ€™s strong focus on preparedness, operational resilience, and its commitment to ensuring a stable energy supply despite regional challenges and evolving global conditions.
