SWELECT Energy Systems Limited (SESL) has successfully commissioned its new 110/33 KV Pooling Substation at Sirungattur in Tiruvannamalai district of Tamil Nadu. The project became operational on April 16, 2026, marking an important milestone for the companyโs renewable energy operations in the state.
The substation includes a 1 x 50 MVA, 110/33 KV power transformer. It has been developed to provide 110 KV connectivity at the Sirungattur 110/33-11 KV substation. This setup will help in the smooth evacuation of electricity generated from a 50 MW solar power project located in the Villupuram Operation Circle.
The company shared this update through an official communication to BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited. The announcement was approved by R. Chellappan, Vice Chairman and Whole-time Director of the company.
With this commissioning, SWELECT has strengthened its infrastructure for handling and distributing solar power in Tamil Nadu. The pooling substation will support the efficient transmission of renewable energy and improve grid connectivity for its solar projects. This step reflects the companyโs continued focus on expanding its clean energy footprint and ensuring reliable power delivery while meeting regulatory requirements.
