New Delhi, India โ April 30, 2026: Sungrow, a global leading inverter and energy storage solutions provider, has partnered with the Centre for CSR & Sustainability Excellence (CCSE), the social arm of Fiinovation, to launch a solar skill development programme aimed at empowering youth from underserved communities in Delhi.
The initiative, introduced as part of Sungrowโs corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts, is designed to equip young individuals with practical, industry-relevant skills in solar photovoltaic (PV) installation, operations, and maintenance. The programme will be implemented in Najafgarh, targeting youth aged 18โ30 from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Through a structured curriculum comprising approximately 360 hours of training per batch, participants will gain hands-on technical expertise aligned with current industry standards. Upon successful completion, trainees will receive certification along with placement support, with the programme targeting a minimum 70% employment rate.
The initiative is being executed in collaboration with Don Bosco Tech Society, which will facilitate on-ground training delivery and community outreach. This multi-stakeholder approach combines Sungrowโs technical leadership, CCSEโs programme management capabilities, and Don Boscoโs vocational training expertise to create meaningful pathways to employment.
Speaking on the initiative, representatives from the partner organizations highlighted the importance of bridging the skill gap in Indiaโs rapidly growing renewable energy sector. The programme aims not only to enhance employability but also to contribute to the development of a skilled workforce essential for accelerating the countryโs clean energy transition.
With India witnessing strong growth in solar adoption, the demand for trained technicians continues to rise. Initiatives such as this play a critical role in aligning workforce development with industry needs while fostering inclusive and sustainable growth.
