PIXON has received approval under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) for a total solar module manufacturing capacity of 2.391 GW, marking a significant milestone in the company’s expansion within India’s renewable energy manufacturing sector.
The approval includes 1.646 GW of TOPCon solar module capacity, covering advanced M10R and G12R formats, along with 745 MW of Mono PERC module capacity. The latest listing further strengthens PIXON’s manufacturing portfolio and reflects the company’s increasing focus on high-efficiency, future-ready solar technologies aligned with India’s clean energy ambitions.
The development comes as India’s solar sector continues to accelerate domestic manufacturing capacity, adopt higher-efficiency technologies, and prioritize quality-led deployment under evolving policy frameworks. PIXON’s approved TOPCon capacity positions the company to support growing demand from utility-scale and large commercial solar projects requiring next-generation module solutions.
PIXON recently expanded its manufacturing capacity to 1.6 GW, up from its initial 400 MW capacity, highlighting the company’s rapid growth trajectory since its establishment in 2019. The company has also expanded into 1 GW production, further strengthening its manufacturing capabilities and reinforcing its long-term commitment to India’s clean energy ecosystem.
Commenting on the achievement, Rajendra Kankal, CEO of PIXON, stated, “Receiving ALMM approval for 2.391 GW is a significant milestone for PIXON. It reflects our commitment to manufacturing excellence, technology advancement, and India’s clean energy mission.”
The ALMM framework, introduced by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), serves as a key benchmark for approved solar PV module models and manufacturers in India. ALMM List-I covers solar PV modules, while List-II covers solar PV cells, playing an important role in strengthening quality assurance and reliability across the domestic solar supply chain.
With this latest approval, PIXON further cements its position as a growing player in India’s renewable energy manufacturing landscape, aligned with the country’s broader push toward self-reliance, advanced solar technology adoption, and accelerated clean energy deployment.
