The Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (JREDA), operating under the Energy Department of the Government of Jharkhand, has released an e-procurement notice for the Comprehensive Maintenance and Contract Operation (CMCO) of existing Grid Connected Rooftop Solar Power Plants across the state. The tender, issued, highlights the state governmentโ€™s ongoing efforts to strengthen the reliability and long-term performance of its solar energy infrastructure.

The project involves a tentative capacity of 6 MWp of rooftop solar power systems installed in different districts of Jharkhand. Through this initiative, JREDA aims to appoint qualified agencies that will be responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of these installations for a period of five years. The selected agencies will ensure the smooth functioning of the systems while maintaining optimum energy generation levels.

As part of the scope of work, agencies will also carry out the replacement of important components whenever required. This includes Power Conditioning Units (PCUs), batteries, and other associated hardware components. The replacement work is intended to maintain operational efficiency and prevent interruptions in the functioning of the rooftop solar systems. The maintenance contract is expected to improve system reliability and extend the lifespan of the installed solar assets.

According to the tender schedule, the Notice Inviting Tender (NIT) was published on the official website on April 28, 2026. Interested bidders can submit their online applications through the Jharkhand tenders portal until May 25, 2026, by 5:00 PM. The technical bids submitted by participating agencies are scheduled to be opened on May 28, 2026, at 4:00 PM.

JREDA has stated that bidders must submit the prescribed Bid Fee and Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) through the online SBI Payment Gateway available on the state tender portal before the submission deadline. Although the exact financial figures for the EMD and Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) are detailed in the Standard Bidding Document (SBD), compliance with these requirements is mandatory for participation in the tender process.

The projectโ€™s initial execution period has been fixed at four months, after which the selected agencies will continue with the five-year maintenance responsibility. The initiative reflects Jharkhandโ€™s focus on ensuring sustainable operation and professional management of its renewable energy installations while supporting the long-term growth of clean energy infrastructure in the state.
