Apple Inc. has announced a series of new environmental initiatives in India, including an investment of INR 100 crore to support renewable energy capacity development through a strategic partnership with CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions Limited, Indiaโ€™s largest renewable energy solutions provider for the commercial and industrial (C&I) sector.

The initiatives form part of Appleโ€™s broader strategy to achieve carbon neutrality across its entire footprint by 2030 while expanding Indiaโ€™s clean energy ecosystem. The partnership with CleanMax is aimed at accelerating decarbonization in Indiaโ€™s C&I segment through scaled renewable energy deployment and long-term clean infrastructure investments.

Apple said the collaboration builds on an earlier co-investment partnership supporting the companyโ€™s India operations. The latest investment is expected to help expand renewable energy capacity while supporting corporate clean energy adoption in one of the worldโ€™s fastest-growing renewable energy markets.

โ€œAt Apple, our commitment to the environment is also a driving force for innovation โ€” across the company and around the world,โ€ said Sarah Chandler. โ€œWeโ€™re proud to expand our efforts to invest in Indiaโ€™s clean energy economy and protect the countryโ€™s precious natural resources.โ€

Commenting on the expanded partnership, Kuldeep Jain said, โ€œWe are thrilled to expand our partnership with Apple yet again. At CleanMax, we see ourselves as a long-term net-zero partner to corporates, and we are proud to continue working with a company like Apple that continues to push the ecosystem to think bigger, move faster, and build more responsibly.โ€

The announcement comes amid rising corporate demand for renewable energy in India, with strategic co-investment models increasingly driving the deployment of large-scale clean energy infrastructure for industrial consumers.
