Bajel Projects Bags ₹300–400 Crore EPC Order for Mumbai GIS Substation Project

Bajel Projects Limited has secured a mega Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) order for the development of a 400/220/33 kV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) in Mumbai, strengthening its position in India’s power transmission and infrastructure sector.

According to the company’s regulatory filing, the contract has been awarded by a domestic customer operating in the data center segment. The order falls under Bajel Projects’ “Mega” category, with an estimated value ranging between ₹300 crore and ₹400 crore.

The scope of work includes the design, engineering, procurement, supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and performance testing of the GIS substation. The project is expected to be completed within 24 months from the commencement date.

The order comes amid rising investments in India’s data center industry, driven by increasing demand for cloud computing, digital services, and artificial intelligence infrastructure. Reliable high-voltage power infrastructure remains a critical requirement for large-scale data center operations, creating significant opportunities for power transmission and EPC companies.
