Enfinity Global has commissioned a 28 MW DC solar power plant in Mundargi, Karnataka, to supply renewable electricity to commercial and industrial (C&I) consumers in the state.
The operational project will provide clean power to C&I customers, including data-centre operator CtrlS Datacenters Bangalore. CtrlS will procure 5 MW of power from the plant to support its operations, while the remaining capacity will be supplied to other C&I consumers.
The project was developed to meet the rising electricity demand from energy-intensive businesses and was commissioned in approximately 100 days following the signing of the final Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
InSolare Energy executed the project on an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) basis.
The commissioning comes amid increasing demand from C&I consumers for renewable power procurement through long-term PPAs. Energy-intensive sectors, including data centres, are increasingly seeking reliable and competitively priced renewable electricity to manage rising power consumption while reducing emissions.
The Mundargi project adds to Enfinity Global’s renewable energy portfolio in India. The company currently has 240 MW of operational renewable energy assets in the country, alongside additional projects under construction and development.
The project highlights the growing role of C&I-focused renewable energy projects in supporting India’s expanding industrial and digital infrastructure while helping businesses advance their clean-energy and decarbonisation objectives.
