The annual ranking assessed manufacturers based on eight key criteria, including aftersales service and warranty support, research and development capabilities, supply chain stability, ESG and corporate social responsibility performance, capacity utilisation, third-party certifications, financial health, and manufacturing experience.

The assessment was based on companies’ full-year 2025 performance and market activity. According to Wood Mackenzie, the tracker market is undergoing significant changes driven by supply chain localisation, evolving trade policies, and stricter financing requirements across major solar markets. These developments are influencing procurement decisions and placing greater emphasis on supplier bankability, transparency, and long-term reliability.

Timothy Shen, Senior Research Analyst for Solar Supply Chain at Wood Mackenzie, said that tracker procurement has entered a new phase where financial credibility is becoming just as important as technological performance. He noted that as financing standards tighten, project developers and investors are paying closer attention to factors such as warranty strength, service capabilities, and supply chain transparency.
