Solar & Storage Expo Telangana 2026 concluded successfully, bringing together the state’s leading policymakers, government officials, developers, EPCs, manufacturers, investors, technology providers, and clean energy professionals for a day of insightful discussions, strategic networking, and business collaboration.
The event served as a powerful platform for stakeholders across the renewable energy value chain to exchange ideas, explore emerging opportunities, and discuss the future of Telangana’s rapidly growing solar and energy storage sector.
The conference commenced with an inspiring inaugural address by Shri Chilukamari Chakrapani, Director (Commercial, HRD, IR & Medical, DPE & Assessments), Telangana Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL), who highlighted the critical role of renewable energy in strengthening Telangana’s power ecosystem and supporting the state’s long-term sustainability goals.
This was followed by a keynote address from Shri Neelam Janaiah, Former Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation Limited (TSREDCO), who shared valuable insights into Telangana’s renewable energy journey, policy landscape, and the immense opportunities that lie ahead for the sector.
The event was further elevated by the presence of Shri Ajay Mishra, IAS (Retd.), National Chairman, UNACCC; Director General, Renewable Energy Society of India; Former Chairman, Telangana Red Cross Society; and Former Special Chief Secretary, Department of Energy, Government of Telangana, who attended as the Guest of Honour. In his keynote address, Shri Mishra spoke about India’s clean energy transition, the importance of accelerating renewable energy deployment, and the pivotal role Telangana can play in achieving the nation’s sustainability and energy security objectives.
Adding further depth to the conference agenda were Industry Perspective Addresses by Mr. B. Ashok Kumar Goud, President, Telangana Solar Energy Association (TSEA), and Mr. Venkat NK Konakandla, Secretary General, Telangana State Solar Open Access Developers Association (TSOADA). Their presentations highlighted key industry challenges, emerging market opportunities, policy developments, and the growing importance of solar and open-access projects in driving Telangana’s energy transition.
A major highlight of the event was the successful execution of two highly insightful panel discussions, featuring distinguished industry leaders and subject matter experts. The panels explored critical topics including solar market expansion, energy storage adoption, grid modernization, open-access opportunities, policy and regulatory developments, investment trends, and strategies to accelerate the deployment of sustainable energy infrastructure across Telangana. The discussions generated valuable insights and encouraged meaningful dialogue among stakeholders.
