The recognition was presented by IGBC National Chairman C. Shekar Reddy to FCDA Commissioner K. Shashanka, IAS, in the presence of Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. The Chief Minister highlighted the milestone as a key step in Telangana’s commitment to building sustainable, resilient, and environmentally responsible urban infrastructure, noting that Future City will continue to prioritize green development practices.

The FCDA Office Building has been designed as a Net Zero Energy facility, meeting 100 percent of its annual energy requirements through a combination of onsite renewable energy generation and green power procurement under the state’s Green Tariff policy. The project includes a 40 kWp rooftop solar photovoltaic system, expected to generate around 60,000 kWh of clean energy annually, along with energy-efficient design elements such as high-performance HVAC systems, efficient lighting, and optimized daylight utilization.
