The project has been developed under a solar lease agreement with Yellow Door Energy, a regional sustainable energy solutions provider, and is now fully operational.

The rooftop installation comprises 820 solar panels equipped with DC optimizers to enhance system safety and maximize energy generation. The plant is expected to produce approximately 806,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of clean electricity in its first year and reduce carbon emissions by around 326,000 kilograms annually. The initiative supports LALS Group’s sustainability objectives and aligns with the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 strategy.

The commissioning ceremony was held at the Dubai Industrial City facility and attended by representatives from Dubai Industrial City, Spire International, LALS Group, Yellow Door Energy, and EPC contractor Pure Energy.

Speaking at the event, Harish Bhojwani, Group Head FMCG at LG FMCG Group and Spire International, said the project marks a key milestone in the company’s sustainability journey and highlights its commitment to reducing environmental impact and improving energy efficiency through renewable adoption.

Jeremy Crane, Group CEO of Yellow Door Energy, said the project demonstrates how solar leasing enables businesses to lower emissions and energy costs while improving operational resilience. He also noted that the company’s solar portfolio has now generated over 1.1 terawatt-hours of clean energy across seven countries.

Under the solar lease model, Yellow Door Energy will finance, design, construct, operate, and maintain the plant throughout the agreement period, enabling Spire International to access clean energy without upfront capital investment or operational risk.
