The newly commissioned 5.6 GW solar module manufacturing facility is spread across a 75-acre campus and represents the latest addition to the company’s manufacturing network. With the commissioning of the new plant, Premier Energies has increased its total solar module manufacturing capacity to 11.1 GW, enhancing its ability to cater to both domestic and international markets.

According to the company, the facility incorporates advanced manufacturing technologies, including G12R TOPCon module production lines, India’s first Zero Bus Bar manufacturing unit, automated guided vehicle (AGV)-enabled material handling, and AI-powered quality inspection systems. The automated production lines are capable of manufacturing one solar module every four seconds while maintaining high levels of precision, consistency, and quality.

In addition to the module manufacturing facility, Premier Energies performed the groundbreaking ceremony for its planned 6 GWh BESS facility and 18,000 MT per annum aluminium frames plant. The company said the new facilities will strengthen its presence across the clean energy value chain, improve supply chain integration, and support India’s efforts to build a self-reliant renewable energy manufacturing ecosystem.

Once fully operational, the Seetharampur campus is expected to generate more than 3,000 employment opportunities, contributing to local economic development while supporting workforce diversity. The company added that sustainability has been integrated into the facility’s design and operations as part of its broader commitment to responsible manufacturing and long-term growth.
