The broader market remained under pressure throughout the trading session. The S&P BSE SENSEX declined 0.94 percent to close at 76,744.86 points, while the NIFTY 50 fell 0.81 percent to settle at 23,991.05 points. The overall weakness in the market also impacted several leading companies in the renewable energy and power sector.

Among the biggest losers of the day was Adani Green Energy, whose shares dropped more than 4.3 percent to close at around ₹1,475 on both the BSE and the NSE. The decline reflected continued selling pressure in renewable energy stocks during the session.

Other clean energy and engineering companies also ended the day with losses. Insolation Energy fell nearly 2.9 percent to ₹116.35, while Praj Industries declined 2.87 percent to close at ₹326.20. Inox Wind also witnessed a weak trading session, slipping around 2.8 percent to ₹76.76. Kabra Extrusion recorded one of the sharpest declines among the tracked stocks, falling 5 percent by the end of the day.

Large-cap energy and industrial companies were also affected by the negative market trend. Reliance Industries lost 1.50 percent to close at ₹1,284.10, while Indian Oil Corporation declined 1.26 percent to ₹141.50. Engineering major Larsen & Toubro also ended lower, easing 0.77 percent to ₹3,817.90.

Several leading power and utility companies posted moderate losses. Tata Power, JSW Energy, NTPC Green Energy, and Indian Energy Exchange all closed in negative territory, with declines ranging between 0.5 percent and 1.3 percent. Other companies linked to the clean energy and electric mobility sectors, including Amara Raja Energy & Mobility, Websol Energy, and Olectra Greentech, also finished the session with slight declines.

Despite the overall weakness in the market, a few stocks managed to register gains. Exide Industries emerged as one of the top performers in the energy segment, rising around 0.8 percent to close at ₹446.95 on the BSE and ₹447.35 on the NSE. EKI Energy Services also ended marginally higher, gaining about 0.1 percent during the session.

Overall, the trading session reflected a cautious mood among investors, with broad-based selling across benchmark indices and most energy-related stocks. While a handful of companies managed to record modest gains, the majority of renewable energy, power, utility, and industrial stocks ended the day in the red as investors remained defensive amid the broader market correction.
