POWERCHINA Completes Delivery of Solar Palmira III Project in Colombia

POWERCHINA has completed the delivery of the Solar Palmira III Project in Colombia after receiving the final acceptance certificate from project owner Celsia Colombia S.A. E.S.P. on June 30, marking the successful completion of the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) works and two years of operations and maintenance (O&M).

The milestone makes Solar Palmira III POWERCHINA’s first fully delivered solar power plant in Colombia, highlighting the company’s growing presence in the country’s renewable energy sector.

Developed under a standardized EPC model, the project has an installed capacity of 9.9 MWac and 12.56 MWdc. POWERCHINA said its project team maintained high construction and operational standards throughout the implementation and O&M phases, ensuring stable plant performance and achieving all power generation targets.

During the project lifecycle, the solar plant successfully completed multiple inspections conducted by the project owner and fulfilled all required acceptance procedures before receiving the final acceptance certificate.

According to POWERCHINA, the successful completion of the project has strengthened the company’s experience in project development, EPC execution, and long-term O&M services in the Colombian market. The company added that the achievement enhances its reputation in the global renewable energy industry and reinforces its competitive position in the Latin American clean energy market.

POWERCHINA said the project provides a foundation for expanding future renewable energy partnerships across the region, including the development of additional solar and wind power projects.
