The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has announced the commercial and financial bid results for the implementation of 4,455 kW of grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic (RTSPV) projects under the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) mode as part of Tranche-IX. The projects have been tendered and are spread across 14 educational institutions and government facilities located in different parts of the country.
The tender issued in April 2026 attracted strong interest from the renewable energy sector, with a total of 22 companies participating in the techno-commercial bidding process. Among the prominent bidders were Cleanco Renewables Private Limited and KAHO, both of which submitted bids for all 14 project locations. Other participating companies included Renergo Developers Private Limited, GP Eco Solutions India Limited, Networth Projects, and Stockwell Solar Services, reflecting healthy competition for the rooftop solar installations.
Following the opening of the financial bids, Renergo Developers Private Limited emerged as the leading bidder by securing the lowest (L1) position in 10 of the 14 project packages. The company submitted the lowest overall tariff of ₹2.94 per kWh for the 2,000 kW rooftop solar project at Visva Bharati University in Birbhum, making it the most competitive bid across the tender.
Renergo also secured L1 status for several Central Sanskrit University campuses, including Bhopal (80 kW) at ₹3.14/kWh, Thrissur (140 kW) at ₹3.65/kWh, Puri (400 kW) at ₹3.35/kWh, Lucknow (90 kW) at ₹3.24/kWh, Agartala (200 kW) at ₹3.75/kWh, Bhalwal (220 kW) at ₹3.35/kWh, Kangra (100 kW) at ₹3.65/kWh, and Devprayag (200 kW) at ₹3.19/kWh. The company also tied for the lowest bid for the 100 kW rooftop solar project at the Regional Passport Office in Bhopal with a tariff of ₹3.14/kWh.
Among the remaining projects, GP Eco Solutions India Limited emerged as the L1 bidder for the 400 kW rooftop solar project at the Central Sanskrit University campus in Jaipur with a tariff of ₹3.04/kWh. Cleanco Renewables Private Limited secured the lowest bids for the 50 kW project at CSU Sringeri at ₹3.50/kWh and the 375 kW installation at IIITDM Kancheepuram with a tariff of ₹3.10/kWh. Meanwhile, AGF Energy Infra Private Limited won the 100 kW rooftop solar project at IIIT Bhagalpur with the lowest quoted tariff of ₹3.72/kWh.
Across all 14 project packages, the winning tariffs ranged between ₹2.94/kWh and ₹3.75/kWh. The latest bid results represent another important milestone in SECI’s efforts to expand rooftop solar deployment under the RESCO model while promoting clean energy adoption across educational institutions and government establishments throughout India.
