The projects—Brazatortas I, II, and IV—were delivered by Zelestra’s in-house engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) team and are expected to supply approximately 130 GWh of renewable electricity annually to Tesla.

The commissioning marks a key milestone in Zelestra’s partnership with Tesla and strengthens the company’s portfolio of customer-focused renewable energy projects in Spain.

The announcement follows the recent signing of a 140 MWac PPA between Zelestra and Tesla for the Lumen Farm solar project in Texas, further expanding the companies’ collaboration across international markets.

Jaime Burguete, Chief Executive Officer of Zelestra in Spain, said the commercial operation of the Brazatortas solar plants demonstrates the company’s ability to deliver renewable energy projects on schedule while meeting the energy requirements of major corporate customers. He added that the milestone supports Zelestra’s continued expansion in Spain.

According to the company, Spain remains one of its four strategic growth markets alongside the United States, Germany, and Italy. Zelestra currently has a 6.8 GW development pipeline in Spain spanning solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and wind projects, of which 1.2 GW has already been contracted. The company said it continues to partner with major corporate energy buyers to support their clean energy and decarbonization goals.
