Bajel Projects Secures EPC Orders for 400kV and 765kV Double-Circuit Transmission Lines Under WR-ER Grid Expansion Scheme

Bajel Projects Limited has secured two Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) orders for transmission line packages TL06 and TL02 under the WR-ER Inter-Regional Network Expansion Scheme – Part A.

Under the company’s project classification policy, which includes GST, TL06 qualifies as a Mega order, while TL02 qualifies as an Ultra-Mega order.

The TL06 package covers the design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of new 400 kV double-circuit transmission lines connecting Jamshedpur (New) with Ranchi (New) and New PPSP.

The TL02 package involves the construction of a new 765 kV double-circuit transmission line from Raigarh (Tamnar) to Jamshedpur (New), Part-II.

Together, the two transmission packages are expected to strengthen power evacuation capacity between India’s Western and Eastern regions and improve grid connectivity across Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.

Commenting on the orders, Rajesh Ganesh, Managing Director and CEO of Bajel Projects, said the two wins demonstrate the company’s execution capabilities across both 400 kV and 765 kV transmission systems. He added that the projects are aimed at strengthening power flows between the Western and Eastern regions.

According to Bajel Projects’ classification policy, orders inclusive of GST are categorized based on their value as follows:

Significant Orders: ₹50 crore to ₹100 crore
Large Orders: ₹100 crore to ₹200 crore
Major Orders: ₹200 crore to ₹300 crore
Mega Orders: ₹300 crore to ₹400 crore
Ultra-Mega Orders: ₹400 crore and above

The company did not disclose the exact contract value of either package in the provided announcement.
