Anurag Jain Appointed NITI Aayog CEO, Bringing Nearly Four Decades of Experience in Infrastructure, Industry and Policy

NITI Aayog has appointed Anurag Jain, a 1989-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Jain brings nearly four decades of experience in public administration and policymaking. Prior to his appointment, he served as Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh, as well as Secretary in the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways.

He has also served as Secretary of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), where he was involved in matters related to industrial development and investment promotion.

His appointment brings extensive experience across infrastructure, industry, governance and public policy to the government’s premier public policy think tank.
