ACME Solar Wins 300 MW FDRE-IX Tender At INR 6/kWh, Expands BESS Pipeline

ACME Solar Holdings Limited has emerged as a successful bidder in the Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) e-reverse auction under the FDRE-IX tender. The contract is for the supply of assured peak renewable power from Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) connected projects across India.

Under the terms of the win, ACME Solar secured 300 MW of contracted capacity at a competitive discovered tariff of ₹6.00 per kilowatt-hour (kWh). The company will supply 1,200 MWh of power over a dedicated four-hour peak duration.

To ensure fast-track project execution, ACME has already obtained the necessary transmission connectivity grant and secured a major portion of the required land. This high level of development readiness will enable the company to significantly shorten installation timelines and guarantee timely commissioning.

Once the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) is officially executed, this project will contribute 1.2 GWh of energy capacity to ACME’s overall battery energy storage system (BESS) portfolio. Consequently, the transaction will expand the company’s total PPA-signed BESS pipeline to approximately 15 GWh, further strengthening its leadership position in India’s renewable energy and peak-load management sector.
