The Nordex Group has expanded its Delta4000 wind turbine portfolio with the introduction of the N193/7.X, a new turbine variant designed for medium- and low-wind sites.
The new turbine combines a 7.3 MW installed capacity with a 193-meter rotor diameter and 95-meter single-piece blades. According to Nordex, the N193/7.X can deliver up to 14% higher energy yield than the N175/6.X at typical low- to medium-wind sites.
The turbine will be offered in multiple nominal capacity configurations, allowing its operating parameters to be adapted to different market and site requirements.
For the German market, the N193/7.X will initially be available with a maximum capacity of 6.6 MW. The configuration is intended to address medium- and low-wind sites while considering project economics, permitting requirements and grid connection conditions.
The N193/7.X builds on the existing Delta4000 platform. Key components, including the nacelle, turbine control system and electrical architecture, have been retained and further optimized. Nordex said this approach is intended to leverage established production, logistics and installation processes while reducing the time required for product introduction.
The turbine also offers multiple operating modes that can be configured according to project requirements, including energy yield, capacity factor, noise limitations and service life.
Nordex said the N193/7.X will be available with multiple tower technologies and configuration options to support deployment across different markets and site conditions.
Serial production of the N193/7.X is scheduled to begin in 2029.
José Luis Blanco, CEO of the Nordex Group, said the N193/7.X builds on the Delta4000 platform while introducing enhancements aimed at providing a flexible solution for different market and site requirements.
