ACME Solar Signs 300 MW FDRE PPA With SECI At INR 6.00 Per Unit

ACME Solar Holdings Limited has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, ACME Greentech Twenty Private Limited, has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) for a 300 MW assured peak power project. The agreement has been executed under Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) Tranche IX, marking another step in the company’s efforts to expand its renewable energy portfolio.

The 300 MW project is designed to provide assured peak power, supporting the availability of electricity during periods of high demand. Such projects are increasingly important for improving the reliability of renewable energy supply and addressing the challenges associated with the intermittent nature of solar and wind power generation.

The FDRE framework aims to support the delivery of dependable renewable electricity according to specified supply requirements. These projects can help improve the integration of renewable energy into the power system by providing electricity when it is needed, rather than relying solely on generation availability at a particular time.

For ACME Solar Holdings, the agreement strengthens its position in India’s renewable energy market and adds a long-term power supply contract to its project portfolio. The 25-year tenure provides a structured arrangement for supplying electricity under the agreed commercial terms.

The partnership with SECI also reflects the continued role of central government-backed agencies in facilitating renewable energy procurement and supporting the development of projects designed to meet India’s evolving electricity requirements.

The company has stated that the transaction was conducted under standard commercial terms. It also confirmed that no related party interests are involved in the agreement.
