Indian equity markets closed on a positive note on November 4, 2026, supported by gains in benchmark indices and strong buying activity across green energy and power-related stocks. The S&P BSE SENSEX advanced 0.5% to close at 77,301.4 points, reflecting positive investor sentiment. Renewable energy companies, battery manufacturers, power utilities and other energy-sector stocks witnessed notable gains on both the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
Insolation Energy emerged as one of the top performers in the renewable energy segment. Its shares surged 7.8% on the BSE to reach ₹73.35, while on the NSE, the stock gained 7.37% to trade at ₹73.15. Inox Wind also recorded strong buying interest, with its shares climbing 7.11% on the BSE to close at ₹63.57. The gains reflected positive trading activity across companies operating in India’s renewable energy infrastructure market.
Battery and energy storage companies also participated in the market rally. Exide Industries advanced 5.67% to ₹366.00 on the BSE, while Amara Raja Energy & Mobility gained nearly 4% to reach ₹724.50. Both companies have business interests in the battery and energy storage segments, which are attracting increasing attention amid the expansion of electric mobility and renewable energy integration.
Among major renewable energy developers, Adani Green Energy shares increased 3.45% to ₹1,381.10 on the BSE and 3.34% to ₹1,384.00 on the NSE. Borosil Renewables also gained 3.78% to trade at ₹393.00. Meanwhile, JSW Energy recorded a comparatively moderate increase of 1.59%, reaching ₹510.00 on the BSE.

However, the market rally was not uniform across all major companies. Larsen & Toubro emerged among the notable laggards, declining marginally by 0.2% during the trading session.
The overall performance highlighted continued investor interest in India’s renewable energy and power sectors. Policy support, increasing clean energy deployment and growing investments in renewable generation and energy storage are supporting market attention towards these industries. With India’s energy transition creating opportunities across solar, wind, batteries and power infrastructure, investors continue to monitor sector-specific developments and corporate performance for potential growth opportunities.
