Türkiye has announced the winning bids for 11 solar power projects with a combined installed capacity of 785 megawatts (MW) under its Renewable Energy Resource Zone (YEKA) GES-2026 tender programme. The tenders were conducted by the country’s Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources on Tuesday, attracting participation from 19 companies competing for solar power development opportunities across nine provinces.
The selected projects are spread across Denizli, Ankara, Konya, Kahramanmaras, Malatya, Diyarbakir, Mardin, Batman and Elazig. The tender programme aims to expand Türkiye’s renewable energy generation capacity and encourage private sector investment in large-scale solar power development. The maximum electricity price was set at €5.50 per kilowatt-hour (kWh), while the minimum price was fixed at 3.25 euro cents per kWh. All 11 successful bids offered the minimum electricity price of 3.25 euro cents per kWh, with different contribution fees per megawatt.
The 30 MW G26-Denizli solar power project was awarded to Temmuz Gunes Denizli Enerji Uretim Sanayi ve Ticaret, which offered a contribution fee of €60,000 per MW. In Ankara, two projects were awarded. The 40 MW G26-Ankara-1 project was secured by Erser Grup Tarim Urunleri Sanayi ve Ticaret with a contribution fee of €22,000 per MW, while Iklim Invest Enerji ve Teknoloji Yatirimlari won the 30 MW G26-Ankara-2 project with an offer of €12,000 per MW.
The 110 MW G26-Konya project was awarded to Is Enerji Yatirimlari, which submitted a contribution fee of €64,000 per MW. In Kahramanmaras, two projects with capacities of 85 MW and 50 MW were secured by Temmuz Gunes Kahramanmaras Enerji Uretim Sanayi ve Ticaret. The company offered contribution fees of €60,000 and €74,000 per MW, respectively.
Ezel Mensucat Sanayi ve Ticaret secured the 55 MW G26-Malatya-1 project with a contribution fee of €91,000 per MW, the highest contribution fee among the successful bids. Meanwhile, Egesa Elektrik Insaat Enerji Uretim won three projects: the 200 MW G26-Diyarbakir project at €16,000 per MW, the 120 MW G26-Mardin-2 project at €18,000 per MW, and the 25 MW G26-Batman project at €36,000 per MW.
The remaining 40 MW G26-Elazig project was awarded to Ecogreen Elektrik Enerji Uretim with a contribution fee of €36,000 per MW.
The 200 MW Diyarbakir project represents the largest individual project in the tender, accounting for a significant share of the total awarded capacity. Overall, the YEKA GES-2026 programme represents another step in Türkiye’s efforts to strengthen its solar energy infrastructure, attract private investment and increase the contribution of renewable sources to its electricity generation mix.
