KPI Global Commissions Additional 1.20 MW Solar Power Project Under CPP Category

Gujarat-based KPI Global Infrastructure Limited, an independent power producer (IPP) has commissioned additional 1.2 MW solar power project under ‘captive power producer’(CPP) category, a corporate announcement on BSE stated.

Under the CPP category, KPI Global can either sell or lease part of its Solarism Plant’s land for the solar power plant of CPP customers and develops the solar power project on their behalf, according to a news media report.

KPI Global had completed 2.43 MW of CPP projects at its Solarism plant in Sudi and Tanchha village of Amod, with intention expressed for another 4.7 MW solar power project by the end of March 2019, a news report stated.

Under the IPP category, KPI touched cumulative capacity of 40.75 MW with the recent commissioning of 7.5 MW in its existing solar power plant. The additional capacity was commissioned in November for Colourtex Industries, Surat and UPL Limited, Vapi against their power purchase agreements (PPAs) for 2.5 MW and 5 MW, respectively. 

The company aspires to cross 100 MW milestone for the overall plant capacity this year, a news report stated.
