The Oberoi Group has tied up with Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a JV of Union power ministry’s four PSUs, to implement initiatives including clean energy systems across its properties.
EESL will help the Oberoi group to implement energy efficient initiatives, including clean energy systems across its properties and will help reduce the hospitality group’s overall carbon footprint and strengthern its energy conservation efforts.
Tailor-made energy efficiency initiatives for each property will be executed, under EESL’s “building energy efficiency program” (BEEP).
The potential energy efficiency measures will include lighting, electric motors and pumps, AC, ventilation systems, indoor air quality systems and electric vehicles along with charging infrastructure.

EESL will provide technical support and extend its procurement advantage through its partners across the energy sector.

A JV of NTPC, Power Finance Corporation, Rural Electrification Corporation and POWERGRID, EESL was set up under the Union power ministry to facilitate implementation of energy efficiency projects.
EESL is a super energy service company that aims to unlock energy efficiency market in India, estimated to at Rs 74,000 crore that can potentially result in energy savings of up to 20% of current consumption.
